This is the TYB Podcast pilot — Episode 1 — a proof-of-concept to make sure all technical elements are working correctly and audio quality is acceptable. Basically, a run-through of all the production stages, and an opportunity to capture the workflow required to produce future episodes.
For Episode 1, I interviewed my nearly-12yr-old son, Cam, who caught the golf bug a few years ago. We discuss how he got started golfing, club sets he’s had so far, courses he’s played, experience in PGA Junior League, and The Masters.
Interviewing kids is unpredictable, and this was no exception. I was surprised by many of Cam’s responses, which is evident as I try to lead him through the interview. It sometimes felt like I was Art Linkletter on the show “Kids Say The Darndest Things”. I also had to talk more than I would expect in future interviews.
